Havant potter Jamie Wilson records whitewash win in Gibraltar Open first round
The Havant cueist, who was scheduled to face four-time world champion John Higgins prior to his withdrawal, was a convincing first round winner over his amateur opponent at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes.
Wilson, 17, grew in confidence as the match went on hitting half-century breaks of 52 and 66 in the final two frames to ease through.

Hide AdCrucially, he claimed a close second frame which seemed to take the wind out of Hussain’s sails.
After edging in front, Wilson battled back brilliantly in the second to snatched it on the black 47-46 having found himself some way behind.
From that point, the teenage potter settled into his groove and racked up successive half-century visits to come through.
It's the second successive tournament Wilson has won through a round on the main tour after reaching round two of the Welsh Open last month.
Wilson has now set up a second round meeting with Chinese world number 37 Xiao Guodong.
