Ricardo Rocha has told Pompey they need to show ‘character’ and 'fight’ in their League One promotion push.

The Blues’ aspirations of a top-two finish took a hit yesterday after falling to a 2-0 defeat at Peterborough.

Having started the day in third, Kenny Jackett’s side were leapfrogged by the Posh and dropped to sixth in the table.

However, Pompey have a chance to move into the automatic promotion places when they welcome seventh-placed Fleetwood on Tuesday.

The Blues have 10 huge games remaining this term and Rocha, who was at Fratton Park between 2010-2013, believes a Championship return can be achieved.

But Jackett’s troops need to display their resolve and just how much they want it.

Rocha wrote on Twitter: ‘Everything is still open and need to fight until the end!
