Cam Pring has thanked Pompey for his spell at the club following his return to Bristol City.

The left-back is back at Ashton Gate after having his Fratton Park loan spell cut short on Sunday evening.

Pring joined the Blues on a season-long loan in September and made 15 appearances during the League One promotion push.

However, the Robins activated a clause in his contract to recall him early to cover injuries to the likes of Jay Dasilva and Callum O’Dowda.

Pring revealed he enjoyed his spell on the south coast – but he was disappointed he never got to experience the atmosphere of a sold-out Fratton Park.

Pring wrote on Twitter: ‘Enjoyed my time at @Pompey and a massive thanks to everyone for the opportunity, it’s a shame I didn’t get to experience a full house at Fratton park. All the best for the future.’
