Michael Smith is back in Pompey's line-up for the visit to Luton.

With Conor Chaplin serving a one-match ban, Smith has been granted only his second league start in 15 matches.

But Paul Cook insists a recall for the 25-year-old had been on the cards even before the weekend draw at Cheltenham.

Amine Linganzi is available once again having served a three-match ban and Cook is weighing-up including him in the match-day 18.

However, Curtis Main is again not expected to feature as he recovers from an abdominal strain which has kept him out of five matches.

Luton, meanwhile, head into the fixture with Pompey at relatively full strength.

Long-term casualties Danny Green (broken leg) and Nathan Doyle (Achilles) continue to be on the sidelines for the Hatters.

It means Nathan Jones has the power to retain the starting XI which won 2-0 at Morecambe last weekend.

Danny Hylton is top scorer with 11 goals, while Cameron McGeehan has registered nine times.
