‘There’s no seriousness at all.
‘It’s building that relationship with your dog and developing that; it’s all about positive reinforcement.’
A delighted crowd watched the display, held in a field rented by Ros Freeman’s Bark2School next to the Anglesey Bowling Club in Alverstoke.
Dedicated dog trainers had turned out at the field, which the firm has rented from Gosport Borough Council for six years, in a bid to wow Cllr Hook, who leaves the mayorship next month.
