Cyclist airlifted to hospital with serious head injury after being hit by car in Waterlooville

A CYCLIST has been left with serious head injuries after a crash with a car in Waterlooville today.

The 20-year-old was flown to hospital by air ambulance following the collision on Crookhorn Lane, at around midday today.

A spokesman from South Central Ambulance Service said: ‘We were called at 12.10pm today to a crash between a car and a cyclist.

‘The cyclist suffered a serious head injury and was flown by air ambulance to Southampton General Hospital.’

The road had been closed earlier today and a police spokesman said officers are still at the scene.
