Pompey fans recreate a photo from when they featured in The News nine years ago - and they are still football fans

Nine years ago The Portsmouth News published a picture of three-month-old twin boys Reuben and Stanley Deacon wearing their Pompey outfits which said 'I want to play football for Portsmouth'.

Fast forward nearly a decade and the twins have recreated their photo by chance after both wearing the same top at the same time – which reminded their mum of when they were babies.

Tanya Deacon, the twins’ mum, said: ‘It was just really weird because they came down together wearing their Portsmouth tops. Their dad is a massive Pompey fan, he had a season ticket before the boys were born and they came down in their tops and it made me think of when they were babies wearing their little football tops.

‘It is just really weird that they were both wearing them at the same time – they never wear the same clothes.’

Tanya said that as they are growing up they love the sport and enjoy going to the park together and playing football.
