Builders move in to transform a derelict shopfitters' site in Portsmouth
Portsmouth City Council is developing the old AE Hadley shopfitters’ site in Limberline Spur.
The council hopes the £4.25m project will be finished by autumn.

Hide AdCouncillor Luke Stubbs, cabinet member for planning, regeneration and economic development, said: ‘We’re delighted that we’ve got to the stage where work can begin on these units.
‘They will give a real lift to local businesses and create jobs, both in the units themselves and in the construction work.
‘We want to give local businesses the opportunity to flourish and that’s why we’re building this type of unit for which there is a huge demand in this area.’
Construction firm Dawson-WAM is carrying out the work.
