Police have appealed for information after a seriously injured man was mysteriously found in a Hampshire park.

A 20-year-old man was discovered with serious injuries in Rectory Road Park, Farnborough, on Friday evening.

‘Officers attended and the man was taken to hospital for surgery, where he remains in a serious but stable condition,’ a police statement said. ‘An investigation into the circumstances of this incident is underway and we remain in the area today conducting enquiries.

‘We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time who we have not yet spoken to. Perhaps you saw what happened or the moments leading up to it? Maybe you saw something that you felt was suspicious? Or perhaps you were driving through the area and captured something on dash cam footage that may assist our investigation. Officers will be in the area throughout the weekend, and anyone with information, questions or concerns is asked to come and speak to them.
