BURGLARS broke into a convenience shop this morning to steal cigarettes.

The McColl’s shops in Locks Heath shopping village was targeted in the early hours of this morning by the burglars who smashed a window to gain entry.

The convenience store was previously broken into last December when burglars also stole cigarettes.

A spokesman for the police said: ‘We were called at 5.24am today. A quantity of cigarettes was stolen.’
