'˜He wasn't happy about his burger' '“ here are the weirdest 999 calls made in Hampshire
Hampshire Constabulary released a video as part of International Control Room Week, which is meant to celebrate the work of emergency services call handlers.
But Hampshire police has given a stark message about time-wasting calls that are clearly not for emergency services.

Hide AdThe first operator in the video talks about a woman who wanted advice on stopping a smoke alarm.
The second example was of a bird that had entered a family home '“Â with the final story looking at a man who had phoned up about a dodgy burger.
The operator said: '˜A man called 999 to say that he wasn't happy with the quality of his burger in a restaurant, and he wanted the police to come out and deal with the chef.
'˜We didn't, obviously.'
Hampshire police said it has received an '˜unprecedented' number of 999 calls this year.

Hide AdThe force said 999 calls should only be made under the following circumstances:
:: A danger to life.
:: A crime is happening now (or has just happened).
:: Immediate safety concerns.
:: A dangerous motorway incident.
:: Something suspicious that requires immediate attention.
All non-emergency incidents should be dealt with by calling 101.
