A MAN has been stabbed in the leg and shoulder, police said.

The 34-year-old was attacked inside a house in Alhambra Road, Southsea, between midnight and 2am this morning.

He was taken to hospital and received stitches for his injuries. He has been discharged.

A 34-year-old man from Portsmouth, a 23-year-old-man from Lambeth and a 21-year-old-man from Bromley, Kent, have been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and having a blade or sharply-pointed article in a public place.

‘We would like to reassure the public that we believe this was an isolated incident; we don’t believe there is any wider risk to the public,’ a police spokeswoman said. She added there was no link to a double stabbing in the street on September 15.
