Armed police arrest man in Emsworth after house caller 'threatened with being shot'

ARMED police arrested a man after a caller at an address in Emsworth was threatened with being shot.

Sussex police went to The Rookery, in Emsworth, at 1.50pm over concerns about the behaviour of a man in the premises.

Police said the person was ‘reported to have threatened to shoot a caller at the address’.

A police statement said: ‘It was confirmed that the man was alone in the premises and at 3pm he came out of the address and was arrested by armed officers without injury, on suspicion of unlawful possession of a firearm.’

He was released under investigation.
