Adventure training abroad costs Royal Navy £1.4m
THE Royal Navy spends £1.4m a year on adventurous training trips for sailors.
Each year service bosses fork out on the cash to send 2,000 personnel to the Naval Outdoor Centre in Germany.
This is £550,000 more than the RAF spends on sending its 1,740 airmen to a training centre in Bavaria, but less than the British Army’s bill of £3.5m to fly out 1,300 soldiers to courses abroad.
