Innovation centre starts a digital visitors' book
The wireless product is the latest arrival at the fully-occupied Fareham Innovation Centre, where 27 businesses work out of 24 offices and 15 workshops.
Earlier this summer the centre unveiled another first – wireless charging stations for smartphones, built into meeting-room tables.

Hide AdStephen Brownlie, regional manager for Oxford Innovation, which runs the centre at Daedalus, Lee-on-the-Solent, on behalf of owner Fareham Borough Council, said the visitors’ book had been well received.
He said: ‘The centre has a lot of footfall every day, there are 110 people working on site, plus we have nearly 40 businesses regularly using drop-in facilities, along with visitors, suppliers and contractors. After you’ve signed in digitally, and tapped the logo of the company you are meeting, you are sent a welcome e-mail with visitor information including health and safety procedures, notices about our free car parking and booking links to our hired meeting facilities.
‘The digital visitors’ book and the wireless phone charging stations are two examples of how we are blazing a technology trail.’
